creepy

Warning: reference to may-or-may-not-be-in-your-country underage sex.

Zenobia's* age is ambiguous-but-young in the source material. Anywhere between fifteen and twenty-five is certainly believable. You, dear author, deliberately chose an age toward the low end of that sum, one that happened to be underage in your particular culture.

Ages of consent and adulthood vary across the world and through time. We understand that birth date is entirely arbitrary as a measure of maturity. We respect that underage sex does not have to involve creepy pedophilia or even ephebephilia.

You, however, then proceeded to carry out a five-step Super Creepy program. Here is a list of useful advice on inadvisable things to do to an underage character in congruence:

1. Transport her into the modern world unfamiliar to her and and immediately make your self-insert and your self-insert's partner sleep with her. (* Not all polyamory is super creepy!)
2. Inquire about the young lady's age only after the fact.
3. Proceed to gloat over being a (only technically, of course) criminal.
4. Have the young lady proceed to share salacious details of extensive non-canonical sexual abuse by her older sister commencing in their early childhood. Rejoice at the sexual healing you have provided through being, she says, the first man she has ever consented to. (The older sister's character was not distorted but the fact their father would not have noticed the abuse was, ahem, somewhat contrived.)
5. ...Profit?

Thank you for not waring about this sort of thing, too. I can see nobody could possibly have been disturbed by the strongly described sexual abuse.

* Yay, pseudonymized fandom

My boobs will distract you...

From this woman's upper body.

After 20 years, she still hasn't seen a human being.

It has no arms- I'm also worried about those sores on the cheek and shoulder. Why would you want to be perceived like this?
I dunno why people go out like this in public either. Like yeah, we can see you just fine.

NSFW-
Well, here you go.

All from the same gallery.

I wasn't aware Ranma had a lazy eye.

In fact, a lot of her drawings have lazy eyes.

IT'S SO EMOTIONAL.

No.

Why does she have a 3 on her chest?

Such amazing coloring.

She also does masterpieces on MS Paint. At least, until she discovered GIMPshop.

And what gallery is complete without super gawf pictures of yourself, shitty angsty writing and totally deep pictures of a chair in black and white?

Dean Winchester? Doesn't do 'faith'. He believes in things he can see, touch, kill. In seasons one through three, God isn't on the list of things he believes in. Season four, he's got tangible evidence of God's existence and he's still not positive. Season five, most of his tangible evidence is saying God's dead and has been for some time, and suddenly Dean's rather more dubious on whether God exists.

I confess to being unable to recall whether Dean ever performs a successful exorcism. He has attempted exorcisms more than once, though, and one of them failed because he stopped to bargain with the demon and she left before he could finish, and the other failed because he hadn't memorized the Latin and the demon shredded his aide-memoire. Those incidents were in seasons two and three, and neither demon had any information on whether Dean believed in God when they took action to keep from being exorcised, and Dean certainly hasn't shown any indication of thinking his exorcisms might not work because he's an atheist. Further, we have seen Dean make holy water that's visibly effective against demons, and doing a compare-contrast of the Latin for making holy water and the Latin for exorcisms reveals that both work on the principle of evicting evil from what's being chanted over. (Not all that different, I think, from making holy water by boiling the hell out of it.)

Therefore it's probably safe to say that belief in God is not a necessary condition for performing a successful exorcism.

Therefore having Sam try and fail to do a Latin exorcism and saying the failure was because he lost his faith is itself fail.

Also, saying Anna Milton grew up in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, cute, but is there some reason you're not saying she grew up in Ohio? Because canon says she was born in Ohio.

Steve you look like a creep. And your sweater is ugly.

Tonight Muffinz and I will drink some champagne (even though neither of us like it), watch Sex and the City, and tomorrow will be my birthday. :)

Lets have a chat about permission (Specific You)

YMMV.... (or not.)

When specific authors go through all the effort to contact FANFICTION.NET and ask that the site explicitly BAN all fanworks of their original work, I do not think they want it written.

I, too, bawled my eyes out when I saw that Laurell K. Hamilton was among such authors, because she has created an epic world of pure awesomeness that transcends generations.
But you know what? I DIDN'T POST MY STORY TO FF.NET.

In fact, I didn't post it anywhere. (Which is sad, because it's already several chapters long and was going very nicely.) No, I sucked it up, stopped writing it (writer's block T_T), and focused on fandoms whose authors hadn't expressly banned fanwork.

You, specific author, what do you do? You circumvent the 'No Anita Blake category' by posting your story as a crossover. Which, in addition to being completely against Hamilton's STATED wishes, was also put in the WRONG section.

And not just that it wasn't a crossover. No, you put it in the FFVII crossover section, when you should have put it in the Kingdom Hearts section (if you weren't directly going against Hamilton's wishes).

BTW, dear specific YOU- it doesn't count as a crossover if you only have the 'crossover' character in for one scene of 'Huh. I wonder who those guys are?'.
Sorry, NO.

This is not even bringing up the horrid characterization that you, *le gasp* FAIL at. For one, I know that Asher and Jean-Claude arent boinking like rabbits. How? It's freaking canon. Idjit.

*headdesking*,
KIK

PS- WHY are these people allowed on my intirznet???

ETA: Sorry about the lack of clarity- I was more commenting on the way the Asher/Jean-Claude was handled. It was basically 'oh, who gives a fuck what Anita says, we want to have sex!'. Pretty solid self-gratification with no explanation as to why Jean-Claude would risk his power base with 'selfish' boinkery and Asher not caring about what Anita might think of him (since a good part of his character was built on wanting Anita to love him, and just him).

My lack of clarification, and the confuzzelness this brought up makes me worried now that I probably shouldn't be writing fic until whatever this is goes away.... :/

Hey, smut fic authors!

Do you know what doesn't belong in the urethra?

Pencils. Pencils do not belong in the urethra.

I'll just be over here, weeping.

Thank you and goodnight.

Fic: You'll Never Go Down To the Gods Again

Fandom: Doctor Who
Title: You'll Never Go Down To the Gods Again
Summary: "I’ve survived being mad since I was eight years old, but you, you lose your mind a bit and you try to blow up the universe."
Rating/warnings: NC-17.
Characters/pairing: Doctor/Master.
Disclaimer: I don't own them.
Notes: Title from "Width of a Circle" by David Bowie. Written as a Christmas fic for [info]guinsky, about twenty-four hours before the first part of "The End of Time" aired, and therefore completely non-canon compliant. I've cleaned it up a bit and am posting it here.

But rather less objectionable than the canon, I think )

Bad Romance

[info]glorious_spoon in [info]fanficrants

Fic writer=/=trained monkey

Yes, I wrote a warped little missing moment featuring a pairing that's so fundamentally screwed up that there's absolutely no way to make it sweetly romantic or even non-abusive while keeping either of the individuals involved even remotely IC. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but seriously? Read the rest of my stories. I write a lot of screwed-up angsty fics. And the pairing is right in the header, so it's not like you didn't know what you were getting into.

I also occasionally write stories about one of the characters mentioned above in a pairing that is actually pretty sweetly romantic. No, I'm really not interested in giving up 'all that other twisted stuff' to concentrate on fics of this sort. I like my fucked up angst. Feel free to not read it if you don't go for that kind of thing, but I'm not going to stop writing it just because it doesn't happen to push your buttons. Sorry.
